Why This Resource Exists
North Carolina treats arrest and booking facts as public information. The catch is where they live. Duplin County's Sheriff's Office builds the county custody record. That office also runs the Citizen Connect roster. A town department like Wallace, Warsaw, or Kenansville Police may hold the local incident report. State-prison, probation, and parole files sit with the Department of Adult Correction. The Clerk and eCourts track later case events.
Everything above gets pulled together here in plain language. A booking, an arrest, a court case, and a release are all different records. Each one has a different home. What you won't find is republished booking photos or a mugshot gallery.
What Visitors Can Find
The main pages lay out the county's actual sources, along with the practical limits you should know about before you search.
- The home page combines the Citizen Connect roster, recent booking windows, records-request path, court follow-up, and state and federal locator boundaries.
- Most Wanted Fugitives explains the Sheriff’s photo-bearing wanted notice and safe warrant-check channels.
- Crime News describes WITN, WECT, Duplin Journal, Duplin Times, and the path from a story to an official record.
- Wallace, Warsaw, and Kenansville pages separate each local police contact from the county detention system.
- Source notes explain photo availability, expunction, retention, and why third-party indexes can be stale.
What We Cannot Do
Duplin County Busted Mugshots is a private operation. It stands apart from the Sheriff's Office, county detention, any North Carolina corrections agency, municipal police, and every other government office.
- It cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person in custody.
- It cannot post bond, arrange a visit, send money, or change a court date.
- It cannot give legal advice or decide whether a record is accurate, sealed, or eligible for expunction.
- It cannot guarantee that a phone number, fee, address, portal, or outside link remains current.
One office alone can confirm current custody, a release, or a record's official status, and that is the office that created it. Treat any link here as a route to the answer, never the answer itself.
Search Partner Disclosure
Third-party providers power some of the search boxes on this site. They set their own prices, results, and data practices. A visitor who lands on a paid signup through one of those tools may earn this site a referral fee. That fee keeps the resource running. It does not change the official county source. And it is not an endorsement of any outside result.
