Duplin County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, change a court date, or pull an official booking record. The offices below control their own records and are the only reliable source for a current answer.
Need a Duplin Jail Record?
Start with the official Duplin County Inmate Search gateway and its Citizen Connect booking portal. The Sheriff’s public system can show selected current-confinement, admit-date, charge, and arresting-agency information. The released-inmate view is limited to the prior 24 hours. For a booking record or photo that is not shown, direct a written request to the Sheriff or Detention Records Unit.

The county public-records page lists publicrecordsrequest@duplinnc.gov, 224 Seminary Street, Kenansville, NC 28349, and 910-296-2104. Its policy says requests may be made in person, by mail, or by email, not by telephone, and that independent offices such as the Sheriff receive requests directly.
Where to Ask First
Different questions belong to different custodians. A town police page may hold an incident report even when the county detention portal holds the booking. A court file may show a disposition that is absent from both. Use the agency name with the question.
- Booking or mugshot: use Citizen Connect, then ask the Sheriff or Detention Records Unit for a dated, specific record request.
- Recent arrest activity: check the county Daily Report and Arrest Search, remembering that incident and accident reports may take up to 72 hours to appear.
- Warrant or wanted notice: use the official Most Wanted page, the Duplin Clerk at 910-275-7000, or magistrates at 910-275-7019 for procedural direction.
- Court case or disposition: use North Carolina eCourts Portal or the Clerk of Superior Court, not a booking card.
- State custody or supervision: use the NCDAC offender search and NCSAVAN for eligible custody-change notices.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the BOP locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator, each with its own inclusion rules.
- Wallace, Warsaw, or Kenansville event: contact the local police department for its record, then check the county system for detention.
City Police Contacts
None of the three selected municipal pages showed a public booking-photo roster in the research. These contacts are for agency records and local routing.

Written Records Requests
Give the custodian a full name, approximate booking or arrest date, arresting agency, date range, preferred format, and the exact record requested. Separate the booking record, public charges, release field, and booking photograph in the request. Ask whether an image exists and is releasable. A specific request is easier to route than a request for every mugshot.
The county policy estimates three business days for an acknowledgement or initial response. It estimates five to ten business days for simple requests, ten to fifteen for moderate requests, and fifteen to twenty for complex requests. Inspection is free. Standard paper copies are $0.10 per page, and electronic delivery has no copy charge. The custodian may redact or withhold protected material, including information about minors, personal identifiers, active investigations, medical or personnel material, and security matters.
Keep in mind that a contact number can route a question, but a formal request follows the written process. Only the record custodian can decide what can be released.
